Five Portuguese citizens, including a San Fernando Valley travel agent, were indicted by a Los Angeles federal grand jury for allegedly conspiring to sell more than $600,000 worth of restricted parts for the Hawk surface-to-air anti-missile system and other military hardware to Iran. Three of the suspects, Eduardo G. Ojeda, 54, and Moises Broder, 47, both of Lisbon, Portugal, and Carlos A. Ribeiro, 45, a Portuguese citizen who operates a travel agency in Sherman Oaks, were arrested Jan. 19 in Los Angeles by undercover U.S. Customs agents. Assistant U.S. Atty. William Fahey said two others named in the indictment, Afonso Bonacho and Jackie Singer, are in Portugal and their arrests will be sought.
