3 Right Whales Spotted in Search for Calving Sites

BRUNSWICK, Ga. —
A search for the winter calving grounds of the right whale is under way off the coast of Georgia and Florida, and three whales have been spotted, a New England Aquarium spokesman said. There are about 350 right whales left, scientists said, and location of their calving grounds might help protect the species.
