Suffolk Twin-Trifecta Pays Record $304,663
Associated Press
BOSTON —
Suffolk Downs paid $304,663 to one winner of a twin-trifecta Wednesday, the largest single payoff in the history of the flat track.
The payoff more than doubled the previous track record of $126,870 set last May. The jackpot had grown over 13 racing days.
The bettor, identified by track officials only as a professional gambler, correctly selected the 10-1-7 combination in the eighth race and the 2-3-4 combination in the 10th race.
