Fatih Scores Easy Win in Santa Anita Feature
Fatih, ridden by apprentice Dario Lozoya, stormed out of the gate and ran away from the field Friday to score an easy victory in the $45,000 feature race at Santa Anita.
Carrying 117 pounds, Fatih finished 1 3/4 lengths in front of favored Prince True, ridden by Chris McCarron. Prince Guard, with Darrel McHargue aboard, finished third, another 4 1/2 lengths back in the 1 1/8-mile turf race.
Fatih was clocked in 1:47 1/5 on a firm track and paid $5.20, $2.80 and $2.40. Prince True returned $2.60 and $2.20, while Prince Guard paid $2.60 to show.
