Share

UCLA’s men’s track team will open its outdoor season at 1 p.m. today against Fresno State and San Diego State at Drake Stadium.

Bob Larsen will make his debut as UCLA’s coach. Larsen, a former assistant, succeeded Jim Bush, who ended a 20-year stint in the job with his retirement after the 1984 season.

Fresno State is the two-time defending Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. champion, and San Diego State placed third in last year’s Western Athletic Conference meet.
