PacTel Mobile Services of Costa Mesa has signed six agents to sell its Mobilinx cellular mobile telephone service in the San Francisco Bay Area in preparation for the planned start-up of cellular service there in late March or early April. Authorized agents will handle cellular telephones, installation, computerized billing and customer service.

California’s first cellular mobile telephone system was introduced in the greater Los Angeles area in June 1984 by the Los Angeles SMSA Ltd. Partnership. PacTel Mobile Access heads the partnership and operates the system.

Ericsson Information Systems of Garden Grove has received telephone systems orders totaling $11 million from UC Irvine and UC San Diego campuses. Late last year, UC Santa Cruz and CalState Long Beach ordered telecommunications equipment worth approximately $7 million.

Applied Circuit Technology Inc. of Anaheim has announced the completion of a distribution agreement with the Japanese firm of Mitsui and Co. Ltd. The pact allows Mitsui to sell Applied Circuit’s automatic test equipment and computer disk drive systems in Japan.

Mitsui will show a complete line of Applied Circuit’s products at the first COMDEX show in Japan, March 26 through March 28.

Commodore International Ltd. has signed a major licensing agreement with THORN EMI Computer Software Inc. of Costa Mesa that allows Commodore to produce and market the company’s new software line, known as 2.0 Perfect. Clem Scharwath, vice president of marketing and program development for THORN EMI, declined to comment on the financial terms of the agreement.

General Automation Inc. of Anaheim has announced the signing of an agreement with EECO Computer Inc. of Santa Ana that is expected to be worth up to $3 million over the next two years. General Automation’s line of Zebra microcomputers will be used in EECO’s full-range system of computers for the lodging and hospitality industry. EECO’s systems are used by several hotel chains, including the Intercontinental, Sheraton, Four Seasons, Regent International, Helmsley and Delta Hotels.

RESCO Development of Newport Beach has signed a 55-year lease for a 4 1/2-acre parcel valued at $2 million in Tustin. A research and development park is planned for the site.

Corporate Creativity Group, a marketing communications agency, has moved its offices from Laguna Hills to Lake Forest. The company said the move was necessitated by a substantial increase in its business during the last quarter of 1984.
