Two people died and three others were seriously injured when a 21-year-old woman drove her car the wrong way on the Golden State Freeway near Newhall and collided head-on with a van carrying six family members, authorities said. The wrong-way driver, whose name was withheld pending notification of relatives, was killed in the crash along with Tony Jimenez, 4, a passenger in the van, according to officials. The driver of the van and an infant passenger were hospitalized, as was a passenger in the car. Three other van passengers were treated and released. Investigators were attempting to determine whether the driver of the wrong-way vehicle was intoxicated, a California Highway Patrol spokesman said.
