Retired Drs. William Longmire, Horace W. Magoun and Emil Smith are the first recipients of the honorary title, Fellow of the UCLA School of Medicine. The title was established last year and is given to retired faculty or alumni who have made contributions to medical science, said Sherman Mellinkoff, dean of the medical school.
