Opening Scheduled Today for Windsong Cove Town Houses

The Palms at Windsong Cove opens today in Carlsbad, offering 72 two-story town houses that the developer, Sears Savings Bank of Glendale, said are ready for occupancy at the close of escrows.

All the homes have two bedrooms and either two or 2 1/2 baths in 1,300 to 1,600 square feet. Features include wood-burning fireplaces, skylights, bay windows, tiled entries and private decks or patios; some have wet bars.

Prices range from $128,900 to $148,900, with financing starting at 10 3/4%, rising to 11 3/4% the second year and leveling off at 12 3/4% for the third through 30th years. The minimum down payment is 5%.

A recreational complex includes a pool, spa, barbecues and sunning areas as well as greenery, meandering waterways and tree-lined walks, all maintained by the homeowners’ association for a monthly fee of $118, which includes fire and liability insurance.

Five models, decorated by Showplace Interiors of San Diego, are open daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 4004 Aguila St., off Chinquapin Avenue. The sales agent is Developers Marketing Associates of San Diego.
