Adjust your seat belts, Peanuts fans: The title of the next CBS special, due March 20, is “Snoopy’s Getting Married, Charlie Brown.” In it, the beloved beagle falls in love with a poodle. A wedding date is set, Snoopy’s brother, Spike, is invited and Schroeder hosts a bachelor party.

If that’s not enough, CBS has another cartoon surprise due that same night: Betty Boop is coming back. Yes, the zesty little lady from the 1920s is starring in her first TV special, “The Romance of Betty Boop.” It’ll be set in 1939 in New York City, with Betty seen as a shoe clerk by day and an ambitious nightclub performer by night.

KCET’s “Hollywood Television Theatre” is going to see new life. The 34 productions, produced between 1970 and 1982, have been acquired for pay/cable TV and home video distribution by the Beverly Hills-based Entertainment Network. They include “The Andersonville Trial,” with William Shatner and Richard Basehart, “The Last of Mrs. Lincoln,” with Julie Harris, and “Steambath,” starring Bill Bixby and Valerie Perrine.

Yaphet Kotto, James Woods, Tamu Blackwell and Richard Brooks are starring in “Badge of the Assassin,” a TV movie for CBS. It’s about a nationwide search launched to find the killers of two New York City police officers.

The Disney cable TV channel has ordered 13 more episodes of “Still the Beaver.” The comedy series, which reunites cast members from the series “Leave It to Beaver,” has been running since last November. It stars Jerry Mathers, Tony Dow, Barbara Billingsley and Ken Osmond.
