Anaheim police arrested a man they found carrying allegedly stolen marked bills less than an hour after a robbery at Lloyds Bank, 235 S. Euclid St., officers reported.

Officers arrested Juan Lemond Taylor, 31, of Compton after a description of a bank robber and his getaway car were broadcast. Police said Taylor was arrested in the 100 block of West Katella Avenue at 1:56 p.m. The robbery at the bank took place at 1:14 p.m.

Police said the robber threatened a teller at the bank, indicating that he had a gun in his waistband. The teller handed the man about $100 in marked bills, then turned on the bank’s silent alarm.

A bank executive, who was not identified, followed the fleeing man outside and saw him drive off in a black car, police said. The descriptions of the car and the robber helped the quick arrest of the suspect, officers said.

Taylor was being held at Anaheim City Jail, officials said. Bail was set at $50,000.
