ALEXIS WEISSENBERG REPLACED IN RECITAL

Russian-born pianist Sergei Edelmann will replace Alexis Weissenberg in a recital at Ambassador Auditorium tonight at 8. Weissenberg was forced to cancel his appearance due to illness, according to a spokesman for Ambassador.

Edelmann, 24, will play works by Schubert (Klavierstuecke in E-flat and the “Wanderer” Fantasy) and Chopin (the Polonaise-Fantaisie, Opus 61; Polonaise, Opus 53; three etudes, and the Nocturne No. 5).
