Gordon Jones, the Los Angeles Herald Examiner’s racing writer and handicapper who was arrested near Santa Anita Feb. 24 and charged with bookmaking, received a delay of his arraignment Tuesday in Santa Anita Municipal Court in Monrovia. Jones, who faces 18 misdemeanor charges stemming from his allegedly taking bets to the track from a handicapping seminar he conducts, will be asked to make a plea April 3.
