Time said it will soon test market a new magazine.

The company said the new national magazine will be called Picture Week and will be devoted to news photography. Test mailers said the weekly magazine will feature "a close-up capsule view of the world's week in pictures." Officials at New York-based Time Inc., which publishes Time, Life, Sports Illustrated, People, Money, Fortune and Discover magazines, would not provide details on how Picture Week would be test marketed or how much a full-scale launch of Picture Week might cost.
