San Diego
A 30-year-old San Diego man died Saturday at Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla from injuries sustained when his car plunged off a 200-foot oceanfront cliff Friday near the Torrey Pines glider port and landed on a ledge 40 feet from the bottom, a hospital spokeswoman said. Glenn Tollison had been pulled from his car, which was balanced on the ledge, and was flown via Life Flight to the hospital where he died from massive head and internal injuries.
