Following is a partial look at films screening this weekend at Mann’s Westwood Triplex. ‘A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM’

Great Britain/Spain, 1984, 77 minutes 12:30 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. Imagine the gossamer illustrations of Edmund Dulac coming alive and that will give you some idea of what this mime, song-and-dance version of the Shakespearean comedy is like. A collaboration of writer-director Celestino Coronado and dancer Lindsay Kemp (who plays the mischievous Puck) and his company, it is fey, androgynous and too precious for some tastes. At the same time, it is not mere camp but an impressive and original work of the imagination.
