Officials of the Six Flags-operated amusement park reported that the park will open for the summer season May 24. The park, touted as the world’s largest indoor entertainment center, was closed indefinitely in January, just six months after it opened, due to lagging attendence. The reopening is being funded primarily by the Charles S. Mott foundation. Auto World is located in Flint, Mich., which received national attention in 1982 when it was dubbed the “unemployment capital of America.”
