NORWALK — The Master Symphony Orchestra has appointed Peter Nero music director for the 1985-86 season.
Nero, a conductor for the Philly Pops Orchestra, is a composer and arranger who has recorded 50 albums. He has two Grammy Awards to his credit and a Gold Record for the single and album “Summer of ’42.”
To raise money for the Norwalk-based orchestra’s season, a Phone-a-Thon membership drive was held last weekend at Norwalk City Hall.
Tax-deductible contributions can still be sent in care of the orchestra to Norwalk City Hall, 12700 Norwalk Blvd., Norwalk, Calif. 90650.
