Lightning Injures 24 in Ohio

RIPLEY, Ohio —
Lightning struck a smokestack at a shoe plant today, sending an electrical charge through the building, and at least two dozen people were taken to hospitals, officials said.
Hospital officials said at least seven of the injured were admitted for observation. It was not immediately known if all the injured were plant employees.
