Barbara Stewart, chief executive of B.J. Stewart Advertising and Public Relations Inc. in Newport Beach has been elected to the 1985 board of directors of the Industrial League of Orange County. Formed in 1970, the league promotes business in the county and has 700 member companies. Stewart is the second woman to win election to the league’s 23-member board of directors.

Scott Bayles and Deborah Warren have joined J2 Marketing Services, a marketing and communications agency in Brea. Bayles was named account executive. Warren was named production artist.

Thomas DeForest was named vice president, general counsel and secretary of American Telecom Inc., an Anaheim-based manufacturer of telecommunications equipment. DeForest was one of the founders of the 9-year-old firm, which is a subsidiary of Fujitsu Limited of Japan.

First American Title Insurance Co. of Santa Ana appointed Walter M. Reeves vice president and assistant title officer. Reeves, who will now have the authority to make underwriting decisions on the national level, had been chief title officer for First American’s Riverside office.

Larry D. Ensminger joined American Diversified Savings Bank of Costa Mesa as a vice president. Ensminger, previously a consultant for Union Bank in Los Angeles, will oversee trading and arbitrage activities for American Diversified Savings.
