Arson was suspected in a fire at an unoccupied apartment building near Los Angeles International Airport that resulted in $300,000 damage. The three-alarm fire occurred near Century Boulevard and Felton Street. No injuries were reported in the blaze, which was extinguished by 19 companies of firefighters. Firefighters evacuated residents in nearby homes because of the potential danger, but the fire did not spread.
