A Pacific Northwest storm that has fizzled out will bring cloudy skies to San Diego this weekend, but no rain is predicted for the next three days, the National Weather Service reported.

The weak upper-level system traveling through the county will leave skies gray and bring cooler temperatures, giving San Diegans an early dose of “June gloom” through Sunday, said Billy Allen, National Weather Service forecaster.

Wednesday night another Pacific Northwest storm left 0.25 of an inch of rain at Lindbergh Field. Point Loma was the wettest spot in the county with 0.39 of an inch of rain. Light scattered showers were reported throughout the county Thursday, Allen said.

In the coastal areas, it will be mostly cloudy with patchy, dense fog today, Saturday and Sunday. Daytime temperatures through the weekend will be 60 to 65 degrees, Allen said. Nighttime temperatures will be about 55 degrees.

The inland valleys may have some clearing Saturday, with daytime temperatures through Sunday of about 65 degrees. Nighttime temperatures will be about 45 degrees, he said.

There will be winds gusting up to 30 m.p.h. in the mountain areas, with daytime temperatures in the 43- to 53-degree range. Nighttime mountain temperatures may dip below freezing.

The deserts will have variable high clouds with gusty afternoon winds through Sunday. Highs Saturday and Sunday will be in the 70s, with lows in the upper 40s.
