40th Anniversary

Share

Since everybody is celebrating the 40th anniversary of everything these days, I think it is a shocking disgrace that the 40th anniversary of Franklin D. Roosevelt’s death on April 12 went virtually unnoticed by the news media. It was wrong.

This man was elected President four times. He led the nation for 12 years. He led the nation through its two most traumatic events, the Great Depression and World War II. He gave us many reforms that Americans of today’s generations take for granted. He is the only President who brings tears to people’s eyes when they see him in old newsreels.
