Golden Screen Comes From Last to Win

Golden Screen came from last to first through the stretch Thursday and drew off to win the $48,360 Miss Grillo Stakes at Santa Anita.
Ridden by Sandy Hawley, Golden Screen finished 1 lengths in front of Down Stage, ridden by Fernando Toro. Promising Girl, the odds-on favorite ridden by Chris McCarron, finished third, another 1 3/4 lengths back.
Trained by Loren Retelle, Golden Screen earned $24,760 for the win. She was clocked in 1:48 2/5 for 1 1/8 miles over the turf course.
Golden Screen paid $22.80, $8.60 and $2.80. Down Stage returned $12.80 and $4, and Promising Girl paid $2.40 to show.
