A Granada Hills church sustained an estimated $40,000 in damage when the pastor’s office and part of the attic were destroyed by fire Friday afternoon, according to a spokesman for the Los Angeles City Fire Department.
No one was hurt in the fire at the Granada Hills Community Church, 11221 Balboa Blvd., department spokesman Larry Ford said.
Ford said fire officials had not determined the cause of the fire.
Firefighters from five engine companies extinguished the flames at 5:39 p.m., 18 minutes after the fire was reported, Ford said.
