Hawaii Volcano Erupts, Lava Threatens Homes

VOLCANO, Hawaii —
Kilauea volcano spewed lava as high as 1,000 feet and sent a flow of molten rock within half a mile of a housing subdivision before the eruption stopped Monday morning, scientists said.
