S. Korean Leader Arrives in L.A.

South Korean President Chun Doo Hwan arrived here today to a welcoming crowd of more than 1,000 Korean Americans from throughout Southern California and dozens of protesters.
Extremely tight security, beefed up by an army of U.S. and Korean secret service agents, kept the demonstrators protesting Chun’s visit away from the Korean Airlines cargo terminal.
