Tomas Smid of Czechoslovakia ousted 18-year-old Boris Becker of West Germany, 6-4, 6-7, 7-6, Friday to become the only seeded player to advance to the semifinals of the $405,250 Alan King tennis tournament at Las Vegas.

Two other seeded players, No. 5 Eliot Teltscher and No. 8 Tim Mayotte, were eliminated.

Teltscher lost to Jimmy Arias, 6-7, 6-4, 7-6, and Mayotte was beaten by Johan Kriek, 4-6, 7-6, 6-3.

Smid, seeded No. 6, will play Kriek in one semifinal today, while Arias will meet Ken Flach, who defeated John Lloyd of Great Britain, 6-4, 4-6, 6-4.

Martina Navratilova, 30-2 in matches this year, lost only five points in the first set and defeated childhood rival Regina Marsikova, 6-0, 6-2, to reach the semifinals of a $150,000 women’s tournament at Houston.

Marsikova, a Czech returning to the pro tour after an absence of almost four years, didn’t win a point on her serve until she fell behind love-30 in the fifth game.

In other matches, Elise Burgin upset fourth-seeded Zina Garrison, 7-6, 3-6, 6-4; second-seeded Manuela Maleeva of Bulgaria defeated Sabrina Goles of Yugoslavia, 6-1, 6-4, and third-seeded Helena Sukova of Czechoslovakia beat Mary Lou Piatek, 6-4, 6-1.

Top-seeded Mats Wilander and another Swede, Henrik Sundstrom, breezed into the semifinals of the $315,000 West German Open, but Czechoslovakia’s Miloslav Mecir and Argentina’s Jose-Luis Clerc prevented a Swedish sweep at Hamburg.

Wilander beat Argentina’s Guillermo Vilas, 6-3, 6-0, and Sundstrom upset second-seeded Ecuador’s Andres Gomez, also 6-3, 6-0.

Mecir, however, upset fourth-seeded Joakim Nystrom, 6-2, 6-2, and Clerc beat Jan Gunnarsson, 6-4, 6-2.
