A senior Jordanian official said that Secretary of State George P. Shultz’s upcoming visit to Amman could result in preliminary Mideast peace talks between Washington and a Jordanian-Palestinian delegation. The official said U.S. officials and Yasser Arafat, leader of the Palestine Liberation Organization, have agreed that delegates should include Palestine National Council members who do not belong to the PLO. Shultz is to arrive in the Jordanian capital next Sunday. In a related development, Jordan’s King Hussein, who will be in the United States this month for his son’s college graduation, said he will meet President Reagan.
