Stanton : Judge Will Decide on Adult Bookstore Location

Share

An Orange County Superior Court Judge said Wednesday she will review several federal court rulings on adult entertainment establishments before deciding whether an adult bookstore can remain in its present Beach Boulevard location.

In March, the city sued Earmark Books & Video Center, seeking to halt operations dealing with sexually explicit books, magazines, films and videos. In taking the case under submission, Judge Judith M. Ryan said attorneys for both sides will receive her decision by mail.

City Atty. Thomas W. Allen and Roger Jon Diamond, a Pacific Palisades attorney representing Ginger Cox, owner of the bookstore, argued over whether a Stanton ordinance on adult entertainment facilities is overly restrictive.
