South African police fired tear gas to disperse about 8,000 mourners after a funeral in the black township of Zwide, outside Port Elizabeth, for three young blacks killed in racial violence last week, witnesses said. Police acted when the mourners moved to nearby Kwazekele township after the service. No injuries were reported.
