Ford to Recall 119,000 Cars With Faulty Exhausts

WASHINGTON —
The Ford Motor Co. will recall 119,000 cars because tests show problems with their exhaust control systems, the Environmental Protection Agency said Tuesday.
The affected models are the 1981 Ford Mustang, Granada, Fairmont and Thunderbird and the Mercury Capri, Zephyr, Cougar and XR-7. All the vehicles have 4.2-liter or 5.0-liter, eight-cylinder engines.
