Cerritos residents who park on city streets must renew their permits by June 30.

Those who have parking permits that expire at the end of June should begin receiving renewal applications in the mail this week. Those who do not receive applications by June 1 can call the Community Safety Division at City Hall, 860-0311.

The permits allow residents to park on city streets from 3 to 5 a.m. The permits are free and are valid for six months. Those caught parking on city streets without a permit may be towed or fined, officials said.

Temporary permits for visiting friends or family are also available from the Community Safety Division and are valid for up to two weeks.
