‘Traitor’ Charge Against Hayden

Share

I felt compelled to write this letter regarding Assemblyman Ferguson’s denunciation of Hayden, calling him a traitor. A truer statement has never been issued from Sacramento.

The gall of this 1960s hippie, now dressed in his three-piece suits, to suggest that anti-Vietnam protesters be honored for their role in ending the war, boggles the mind. Such a slap in the face to the brave men who fought and fell for their country while the Haydens and the Jane Fondas abetted their killers, cannot be tolerated.

If the California Constitution defines treason as giving aid and comfort to the enemy, then Hayden stands guilty of treason. Now it is up to the Legislature to rid itself of the stench of anti-Americanism.
