18 Die in Collapse of 2 Buildings in India

At least 18 people were killed Friday when two buildings collapsed in different parts of India, the Press Trust of India news agency said.

It said 11 women and a child were killed in a village in central Uttar Pradesh state when a balcony from which they were watching a wedding gave way under the weight of dozens of spectators. In the Delhi suburb of Palam, at least six children under 5 years of age were killed and about 12 others injured when the roof of their primary school collapsed.
