Charges filed by punk rock fans who attended an Olympic Auditorium concert in Los Angeles on May 12 are being investigated by the Internal Affairs Division of the Los Angeles Police Department. Police spokesman Lt. Dan Cooke said more than a dozen complaints were filed by concert-goers charging the police with overly aggressive behavior in quieting a bottle-throwing disturbance after the event. At least three off-duty officers hired to keep order suffered minor injuries. Sgt. Robert Griffin said that when the officers moved to stop fans from throwing objects at cars, they became targets themselves.
