Los Angeles County Municipal Court Traffic Judge Timothy England was killed and four others were injured in the collision of a van and car in Los Banos, the California Highway Patrol said. England, 43, a passenger in the van, was killed when a car traveling east on California 152 made a left turn into the side of the van, which rolled over. The judge and two other passengers were thrown from the vehicle, the CHP said. Georgina Pollinger, 50, and her daughter Claudia, 19, both of London, were hospitalized in Fresno with multiple injuries. The driver of the van, George David Bane, 49, of Pacific Palisades, and another passenger, Murray Pollinger, 53, of London suffered minor cuts. Investigators said that the driver of the car, David Francis Castro, 85, of Sacramento, was not hurt. The CHP said the Pollingers, England and Bane had been vacationing in Yosemite and were en route to Monterey.
