Zungul Is MISL’s MVP for Fifth Time

Steve Zungul of the Sockers has been named the Most Valuable Player of the Major Indoor Soccer League for the fifth time. He also was the MVP once in the North American Soccer League, giving him six MVP awards in his seven-year indoor career.

Zungul led the Sockers to a MISL-record 37 wins in regular season play by leading the league in goals (68), assists (68) and total points (136). He also became the first indoor player ever to score 500 career goals.

In addition, Zungul was named the championship series MVP when the Sockers beat Baltimore, four games to one. He has been the championship series MVP four times in the MISL’s seven-year history.
