Five schools of architecture so far have decided to make the 1985 student design competition of the Society of American Registered Architects a class project. Three cash prizes totaling $4,000 are awarded to the winners.

The annual competition is intended to provide a practical education experience for architecture students and an opportunity to measure their work against that of their peers, according to program chairman Raymond Studer.

Details of the program and entry forms can be obtained from him at 3049 16th St., N.W., Canton, Ohio 44708. The competition is open to all students attending accredited schools of architecture who have not completed their studies.
