Imperial Beach
An unidentified man, believed to be a Mexican in his mid-30s, drowned in the ocean Sunday evening, authorities reported. Sheriff’s Sgt. Greg Reynolds said the man was discovered on the beach at Descanso Avenue about 4 p.m. Efforts to resuscitate the man at the scene and at Bay General Hospital were unsuccessful, Reynolds said.
