A 21-year-old car salesman was killed Sunday when his car left the road and struck a tree in Rancho Santa Fe, coroner’s deputies reported. Roger Linn Sather Jr. of San Diego was headed east on Via de la Valle just east of Cancha de Golf when his car left the road about 5:30 a.m. He died at the scene.
