Bed-and-Breakfast Inns Get OK: Bed-and-breakfast inns are now permitted for homes in high-density residential areas under an ordinance approved by the City Council. Applicants will also have to apply for business licenses and conditional use permits, said city planner Steve Flint, and the homes cannot be located in single-family neighborhoods. The law also establishes the concept of “home-stays,” in which residents could rent rooms on an occasional basis with a maximum of 20% of the home’s floor space used for such rentals.
