Rick Winston has joined Computer Data Information Systems of Westlake Village as vice president of sales and marketing. Before joining the company, Winston was director of national sales at Cardkey Systems. Winston also has worked for Wordplex, where he was national sales manager.
Lynn G. Nielsen was appointed vice president and manager of customized financial services at Bank of America’s Van Nuys main office. Nielsen was previously vice president and head of financial services at the bank’s Century City main office. She joined Bank of America as a teller in 1969, and has since held posts including assistant vice president and financial services officer at the Van Nuys corporate banking office.

Due to a wire service error, The Times incorrectly reported Tuesday that Howard E. Haller was named chairman of Intelligent Communications Network Inc. of Westlake Village. The company’s chairman and president remains Charan S. Lohara. Haller was named vice president-sales and marketing.
National Technical Systems of Calabasas announced two personnel changes: It named William Rosen director of marketing for its products division and Bill Lyons operations manager of the Saugus division. Rosen comes from A. S. R. Servotron, where he was director of operations. Lyons was with Anchor Pad International of Marina del Rey as engineering manager.
Ben Gill was promoted to sales manager of American Landscape of Canoga Park. He was formerly the company’s chief estimator.
PerfectData, a Chatsworth maker of computer products, announced the appointment of Leopold Swergold, a New York investment banker, and Jeff Drazan, a Menlo Park venture-capital executive, to its board of directors.
Westlake Thrift and Loan hired Mike Wolpin, formerly of Rainer Mortgage, to be sales manager for Ventura and Los Angeles counties.
