Skid Row School Holds a Graduation
Forty-five children graduated Tuesday from 9th Street Elementary School, opened last September to serve children living in the downtown Skid Row area.
Principal Michael Jeffers told the graduates in a ceremony in the Harry Chandler Auditorium of The Times that “this is not an end, just a beginning,” and that their real goal must be earning a high school diploma.
