One Dead in Collision of Fighter, Private Plane

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. —
An F-4 Phantom fighter jet collided with a small private plane and burst into flames at Birmingham Municipal Airport, killing one man and slightly injuring two Alabama Air National Guardsmen, authorities said Friday.
