Husband Kills Wife, Self at Pasadena Police Station

Shouting, “I’m going to kill you,” an Inglewood man today fired two shots at a car carrying his estranged wife and a woman friend, then pursued them to the Pasadena police station, where he shot his wife to death, wounded her companion and committed suicide, police said.
Lt. Gary Bennett declined to identify the dead couple until relatives could be notified and withheld the name of the wounded woman, who was driving one of the cars. “It seems to be a pretty open-and-shut case. All indications seem to be a murder-suicide,” he said.
At least two people witnessed the shooting outside the police station at 142 N. Arroyo Parkway. They told investigators that the gunman jumped out of his car, ran to the automobile carrying his wife and fired two shots before shooting himself in the head.
By the time officers ran outside the station, the incident was over.
According to Bennett, the 25-year-old wife recently left the couple’s Inglewood home after an apparent domestic dispute and moved in with a friend in Pasadena. At about 7 a.m. today, he said, the two women were driving southbound on Los Robles Avenue when the 22-year-old husband drove along side and fired at them.
He then chased them three or four blocks as they sought but failed to reach safety at the police station.
