Nevada Car Crash Kills 3-Year-Old Reseda Girl
A 3-year-old Reseda girl was killed Sunday when the van in which she and her parents were traveling was struck by a tractor-trailer in Nevada and burst into flames, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.
Sarah A. Bernstein died in the accident on U.S. 95 near Coaldale Junction. Her parents, Skip Bernstein, 36, and his wife, Renal, 31, were airlifted to Washoe Medical Center in Reno, where both were listed in serious condition Monday.
The truck driver, Randy Harlow, 29, of Klamath Falls, Ore., was in stable condition at Nye County Hospital in Tonopah, Nev.
The accident occurred when the driver of the van failed to yield the right of way at an intersection on the highway and was struck by the truck, a highway patrol spokesman said.
