Center J.B. Carroll picked up his signing bonus check for “over $1.5 million” Monday as part of his new contract with the Golden State Warriors, a team spokesman said.

Carroll, who rebuffed the Warriors’ offer sheet last year and played in Italy, reluctantly came to terms with the club last week after Golden State decided to match a $7 million contract offered to the 7-footer by the Milwaukee Bucks.

As part of the contract, a check for the signing bonus of $2 million before taxes had to be given to Carroll July 1.
