Pacific Palisades
Gov. George Deukmejian has appointed Lorna Parnell of Pacific Palisades as a Municipal Court judge for the Los Angeles Judicial District.
Parnell, 40, replaces Judge Bruce Sottile, who was named to the Los Angeles Superior Court. A partner in the Beverly Hills law firm of Rifkind & Sterling, Parnell will receive a salary of $66,449 in her new position.
Parnell received her law degree from Indiana University in 1972 and was a law clerk for the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals in 1974. She is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Assn., the Women Lawyers’ Assn. of Los Angeles and the Irish American Bar Assn.
