Man’s Body Found Off Seal Beach
The body of a Pico Rivera man who was washed off the sea wall near the Seal Beach Municipal Pier Thursday night was found by police Friday in the water near the Fifth Street beach.
Salvador Carreon, 26, was walking on the sea wall at 11:30 p.m. when he was washed into the ocean by a wave, according to Chris Grubb, a spokeswoman for the Seal Beach Police Department.
“Witnesses said Carreon called for help twice, went under water and did not resurface,” Grubb said. Despite attempts by local police, lifeguards, firefighters, the Harbor Patrol and a helicopter crew from the Huntington Beach Police Department, Carreon could not be found Thursday night, she said. His body was spotted at 8 a.m. Friday.
